Welcome to "The Charettes" Camp La Plage WebPage
Camp La Plage is located on Lake Nipissing, in Verner, Ont., about a 45 minute drive from North Bay . Fourteen secluded, fully equipped cottages, with all conveniences, will make your stay a comfortable one.
Lund or Princecraft aluminum boats, or 18ft cedarstrip, ideal for fishing, plus reliable Mercury motors are available to get you to that favourite fishing hole, quickly and safely. Or maybe you'd prefer a leisurely sight seeing tour into Cache Bay, and out around Pine Island, past Pickerel Rock, then head for home. The choice is yours. And fishing is excellent, with plenty of Walleye, Northern Pike, Bass, Perch, Blue Gill, and even the occasional Muskie lurking nearby. But our personal favourite, as you can see from the pictures below, is good old hard fighting, deep diving, FRESH WATER DRUM, or SheepHead, as we like to call them.
Camp La Plage also features a private beach, pedal boat, canoe, beach volleyball, and badminton (free to guests). Horseshoe pits and complete fish cleaning and freezing facilities, live bait, tackle, and a convenience store all add to the enjoyment of your stay. The combined experience of roasting marshmallows over a late night campfire, a light show of 'shooting stars and orbiting satellites' in the clear Northern sky, while listening to THIS SOUND, is pretty hard to beat.
So, if you are looking for a relaxing family vacation, (and who isn't) come and visit Camp La Plage. That's what we've been doing with our Family for over 29 years and more recently with our 'guys' Spring Trip for the past 13 years!!
